How to clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch Or How to clear the history and cookies on your phone?

Learn how to delete your history, cookies, and cache in Settings.

For Android

1. Open the Chrome app on your phone.

2. Click on More at the top right of the screen.

3. Click on History and click on Clear browsing data.

4. Make sure to select the checkbox next to "Cookies, Site Data," and "Cached Images and Files."

5. Click on Clear browsing data.


For iPhone/Ipad

  1. To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings, click on Safari and tap Clear History and Website Data. 


Note: Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.

  1. To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data. 

Block cookies

A cookie is a piece of data that a site puts on your device, so it can remember you when you visit again. To choose whether Safari blocks cookies, tap Settings > Safari, then turn on Block All Cookies.

If you block cookies, some web pages might not work. Here are some examples:

  1. You might not be able to sign in to a site using your correct username and password.

  2. You might see a message that cookies are required or that your browser's cookies are off.

Note: Some features on a site might not work if cookies are blocked.
